I won’t bore you with details from Ecuador or California since they have their own posts. Actually, I’ll try not to bore you at all but keep it short.
My Mom and sisters were here for five weeks. My Dad joined them the last week. Mom kept the boys while Jamie and I were on our trips. She had a great time spoiling them and was able to get lots of lovies. Over the course of the stay, we made a couple trips to the zoo and the children’s museum.
While Dad was here, we got a ton of stuff done outside; replanted my flower beds, tore down the dog runs and the extra foliage in the back yard and built a play set for the boys. To my and Jamie’s parents, thank you for that wonderful early birthday gift for the boys.
We had a weekend trip out to North Platte to meet up with Aunt Kathy and Erin. Thank you to them for coming. It’s always wonderful to have good company!
While Mom was here, Kael started walking. He took his first unaided step the morning we left for CA. I’m glad Mom and Dad got to see him stepping while they were here. We were trying to get him to say Papa but he’s still not really got that down. He has started saying dog and ball, though.
Anyway, things are good and finally slowing down a bit. The boys and I will leave in about 6 weeks to head out to PA for a couple of weeks. My cousin Amanda is getting married in September. Jamie will probably come for just the weekend of the wedding.
Speaking of Jamie, he starts a new contract in Pella, IA on Monday. So, he will be gone for the next 5-6 weeks. He’ll finish just in time for the boys and I leave. Figures! Though, he’s trying to work it so he can either have long days/short weeks or be able to do some of the work from the office here in Omaha. We’ll need to do something creative for the evenings he’s gone and I’m working.
Anyway, I’ll see those of you back east in about a month and a half. Take a minute and check out this summers’ pictures.
