24 Hours of Booty

I recently accepted the challenge of participating in 24 Hours of Booty. 24 Hours of Booty conducts annual 24 hour cycling events, which increase public awareness and support for cancer research and programs, while raising funds to support the LANCE ARMSTRONG FOUNDATION and local cancer organizations.

I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a real difference in the cancer community. It is faster and easier than ever to support me as a 24 Hours of Booty participant – you can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below.

Any amount you can give, great or small, helps in the fight against cancer. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress!

Want us to Ride for someone?

We are creating team jerseys that will show support in two different ways!  The back of the jerseys will list the name of who we will ride for, such as I am riding for Doug Adams.  For each $25 dollar donation increment, we will add an additional name to our “ride for banners” as a way to ride for someone you know who battled or is battling cancer.  Check out our team page for a current list of those that “I Ride For”!  On the front and backs of our jerseys will be logos of companies who contributed to our team too.  Check out our team page for an example of what the jerseys will look like.

Lip sweaters to make children’s lives better!

Howdy all!

Jamie is sprouting a ‘stache. Yes, folks, it looks ridiculous but since it is for a good cause, I am, begrudgingly (though I say it with a smile) supporting him.

Mustaches for Kids Omaha is local chapter of Mustaches for Kids, a volunteer-run organization started in Los Angeles in 1999 to do good and have fun by growing Mustaches for children’s charities. In 2009, the inaugural year for the Omaha chapter, 30 “growers” raised over $20,000 for a local charity. This year, they have partnered with the Nebraska Children’s Home Society, a local charity that provides no cost adoption, foster care, parenting support, and childcare for families in Nebraska. With 123 registered “growers” the goal this year is to top $33,000 “for the honor of not only Omaha, but the United States of America”. Be sure to check out the “Border Wars” to get the full effect of this statement.

M4K Omaha site is full of informational & amusing tidbits, so be sure to check it out, especially the Border Wars, oh-so-amusing videos and most importantly, the Donate button!

Thanks for your support,
